Minor Site Changes
Hey everyone, quick update. Thanks to nonenix we have a new header. We’re still accepting new headers though. We’re thinking on changing the header every month or so, all depending on how many entries we receive, which sadly :( wasn’t … Continue reading

A Message to Fansubbers
JDramaZone has been growing rapidly recently, making it well known through word of mouth in the fansubbing world.
As with many sites like us, some people chose to attack us for what we are doing, calling us thieves for stealing their work. But this is what I have to say to them.
Some fansub groups claims that sites like ours steal their work and make money from them when in the first place, the JDramas belongs to neither one of us. They should stop deceiving themselves and learn to see things from our point of view.
Why did I start JDramaZone? I am an avid JDrama fan for over a decade. And I would love to share my interests to many around the world. But sadly, most fansubs are only sharing their work on bittorrent and megaupload. Not everyone are able to have access to these sources and I created JDramaZone to supply the community with alternative links.
They like to claim that we are making money by uploading their work. But in fact, we are losing money every month from doing what we do. Each file hosting account cost approximately $10USD per month and we are having 3. There’s also a RapidLeech server that costs around $20USD a month for rapid uploading to various hosts. That’s $50USD a month excluding our webhosting and domain costs. The donations we are receiving amounts to less than $15USD a month with some months when there’s no donations at all. So tell me, how in the world are we earning anything? As a matter of fact, I believe the fansubbing groups are getting much more donations than us and I am not complaining because they deserves it.
Moreover, even though we did not credit the fansubbers in every posts, we do not remove any existing credits in their subs. We upload episodes as a whole if the hardsubbed version is available and we hardcode softsubs without editing anything.
In my honest opinion, whatever JDramaZone is doing, it’s the same as all the fansubbers and that is to bring JDramas to a widen audience all over the world. The fansubbing groups are working hard to sub the dramas while sites like ours invested monetarily to bring them to even more people. None of us are doing it for fame or wealth, we are doing it for the fans. I strongly believe Fansubbers and Uploaders should work hand in hand for the greater good of the fans.
And to those fans who chose to report our sites and condemn us in the fansubbers’ forums, remember this. Not everyone is as lucky as you. There are many people in this world who are unable to access Megaupload and Bittorrent and their only source for JDramas is on RapidShare. Imagine what you would do if your country decides to block access to both of those, where will you get your JDramas fixes without a site like ours.
Fansub groups subs JDramas for you in English.
JDramaZone brings them to you on your favourite hosting sites. Continue reading

New Look
Hey guys, xidron here. As you might have already noticed, we’ve put up a new theme. The current header is just a place holder. If you would like to contribute to the new design, you are more than welcome to create a header for us. The dimensions need to be 940×128 and JDrama Zone needs to be somewhere visible in the header image.
I’m still working on the back-end so it’s easier to post new drama episodes.
Ok this is all I have for now. I’ll keep you guys updated. Continue reading
JDrama Updates Coming Soon
I know that the site wasn’t updated in almost a week. As stated in the previous post, we had some problems with megaupload and once again, i’ve been really really busy.
We’ve received a donation in the past week and I immediately purchased a RapidLeech account in hope of helping me in uploading to different hosts. I’m still trying to figure out how to use it properly. Sadly, the donation only allow us to get the lowest end of the RapidLeech server, but no worries, I believe we will be able to upgrade it with the support of everyone.
But be rest assured that updates will be coming soon. I will be completing Shinzanmono and adding Tobo Bengoshi in the coming days.
And to the donors, whom I’m not sure if they wanna be named, on behalf of the JDrama Zone Team and the users of the site, we would like to thank you for your financial support that made the continuation of this site possible. Continue reading

No Megaupload Links For Awhile
I am having troubles transferring my uploads on RS to MU for the past few days. I am not sure what went wrong but it has to be either RS or MU that is causing the problem.
Since it’s much easier for me to upload to Rapidshare, all new uploads will be on Rapidshare for now. Until I’m able to gather funds for a RapidLeech account or the mirroring works out, it will stay this way.
I’m really sorry to all Megaupload users, but there is nothing I can do right now. But rest assured that Megaupload Links will be back as soon as possible.
If you would like to assist us financially, you can make a donation @ http://www.jdramazone.com/donate/ which is really what we need now that we’ve lost all incomes from Rapidshare.
Rest assured that the very first thing we gonna do with the donation is to get a RapidLeech hosting to mirror the files onto Hotfile and MU. Continue reading
