Synopsis
15-year-old Ikeuchi Aya was an ordinary girl, the daughter of a family who works at a tofu shop, and a soon-to-be high schooler. However, odd things have been happening to Aya lately. She has been falling down often and walks strange. Her mother, Shioka, takes Aya to see the doctor, and he informs Shioka that Aya has spinocerebellar degeneration – a terrible disease where the cerebellum of the brain gradually deteriorates to the point where the victim cannot walk, speak, write, or eat. A cruel disease, as it does not affect the mind in the least. How will Aya react when told about her disease? And how will Aya live from now on?

This is the single drama I would recommend anyone to watch. I’ve yet to see anything that tops this. Not just a sob story, I can make you more optimistic as well.

This will soften up even the hardest souls… Even I, who doesn’t cry at such tragedies like diseases, cried like hell after watching this. Highly recommended. :’)

  5. CassisHwang says:

This is probably the most heartwarming and inspiring drama I’ve ever seen. Because it’s based upon a true story I felt that it was really genuine. It was really sad and I shed tears for this drama which is saying something because I rarely cry and feel such emotions. I had a few realizations with regards to this drama as well.
