Synopsis
Matsuyuki plays the part of Nao Suzuhara, an elementary school teacher. When she realizes that one of the female students is receiving abuse from her mother, Nao’s maternal instincts kick in, and she impulsively decides to bring the girl into her own care. Serving as a substitute mother, Nao takes the child on a trip from Hokkaido to Tokyo, and the two experience various events together along the way.

    I totally agree with Akaryuu, good Japanese dramas are few and far between. This is one of my favorites along with:

    Tokyo Tower
    Bara no Nai Hanaya 薔薇のない花屋
    Queen’s Classroom 女王の教室
    Dragon Zakura (and some others)

    I already started to believe, that there aren’t any more good dramas coming from Japan. In the last 3 or 4 years there was only crap (in terms of serious human drama, I am not talking about comedy, love romance or such kind of jdorama). Finally with “Mother” there is a good one again.

    i just realize the new system rapidshare upgraded. traffic are no longer refill but paid to use.

    it will be hard to keep rapidshare running on this site.

    Out of all recent JDramas this one is my favorite. The story’s so touching and it is well cast. Up to 6th episode, I’m not sure if it’s going to be a happy end, but I will still like this none the less.
