Synopsis
March is graduation season.

Parting with the one you love, becoming disheartened from a broken dream, bereavement from your loved one…

In life, one will always encounter a wall that they must overcome.

When you are able to conquer that wall, that is the essence of ‘graduation’ in life.

As some say, “Goodbye is not the end”, graduation is not an end, but instead is the start of a new life. With that in mind, this spring, Fuji TV will air a special drama, with “graduation” as a theme along with a graduation song.

The storyline being, “4 stories that are connected to popular graduation songs.” The setting for all four nights is a radio program. This is a bitter sweet and heart-warming drama that portrays the various graduation stories of both the radio personality (Nagasawa Masami) and the listeners of the program.

Does any1 know where I can find the softsub? :o

  2. I watched it and reviewed it n my blog: http://idiosyncraticinklings.wordpress.com/2011/06/09/j-drama-sotsu-uta/

I like short specials that warm the heart like this. Especially the 3rd Episode with yamamoto Yusuke and Kitano Kii. That just stole my heart. I guess, it’s also because Im a photographer. hehe. But the story with Massu and Masami-chan is a little strained. I guess, I wanted more.

Just to clarify my previous post, I didn’t mean there are literal gaps or missing lines of dialogue as all the lines are indeed translated. Rather, I was referring to understanding what the characters are actually saying and what they mean that was hard to follow due to the difficult subtitles. Sorry if I caused any misunderstanding.

Just finished the 2nd episode and I agree with the other poster that the subtitles are difficult to follow on this episode (ep. 1 had much better subs). I know a little bit of Japanese which helped me fill in some of the gaps but I have a feeling some of finer parts of the story were lost in translation. Maybe in 5 to 10 years when my Japanese is good enough I’ll go back and be able to fully understand everything LOL. All that being said, it’s still a nice story and I enjoyed it.

The weird thing about this dorama is the subtitles. The first episode is ok, but I’m watching the second now, and I can barely understand, it’s like the person who made the translation can speak japanese, but can’t express the text in english…
