Loading ...I was told today that a certain drama site has closed itself to public because people were posting their links elsewhere.
I went to the site and their blog to take a look today and I find the whole issue to be ridiculous. They have threatened to keep their site closed until all links are removed. Well, I doubt that will ever happen because I’ve decided to take one of their KDrama series and keep it posted here, STICKIED. They are getting way too cocky and that pisses me off.
People like us who start sites like this should be prepared to have our links stolen. If you do not want your links to be stolen, don’t post them anywhere. This is the internet. How can anyone be this naive to think that no one will ever post your links elsewhere.
In their blog, they gave the reason as to why people shouldn’t post their links as “it gets them exposed”. What kinda stupid reason is that? If you do not want yourself to be exposed, don’t put your site’s URL as your password. That has got to be the stupidest reason I’ve seen.
They plaster their site’s name on every single link and description in megaupload and are worried about getting exposed.
Worst still, they are asking people to direct them to their site instead of posting the links. WHAT’S THE DIFFERENCE? You still get exposed. Well, you know what’s the difference? They want their ads clicked. They want their donations. They want the money. But they are being too arrogant. Here’s an excerpt of what they said in their blog to their donors.
Why the fuck do you care what we do with it? Don’t donate! I am so sick and tired of hearing it. Put up how much we have? Why? Don’t hide under pseudo names and generic emails and we might. Why? Are you jealous? Your mummy hit you? You get an allowance of 2 dollars a week? I use the money to buy Prada and Loubotins?

Another stupid thing they’ve done is posting the address of everyone who posted their links. Here you are, ranting about those people who stole the links and yet you’re giving them free advertisement on the main page.
JDramaZone has decided to make full use of this.

If they do not issue any apologies to the public after opening their site, we will steal every single link of theirs and post them on ANOTHER SITE which we intend to create. So in the case they decide to shut their site again, we will give the public an alternative for the links.
We’re also planning to make a new section for Aja-Aja Links if their site remains closed.

It seems like Aja Aja dare not put our site on their list.

within a few hours of the episode airing in Korea.
So the ladies are peeved & upset about lost AD Revenues.
Maintaining a server is expensive.

You guys are awesome to the millionth power. I completely agree. They need to get off their high horses about this. (Plus, if more people download from your megaupload account, don’t you get free membership, regardless of where they found the links to begin with?) I am so glad I decided not to donate to aja-aja a while back, and I’ll just donate to jdramazone instead :) Money well spent.

I’m a HUGE fan of kdramas too and I too, go to Aja-aja to dl… until recently =P I’m not THAT deeply hurt at all since there’s always many other sites to go on and they’re just shutting down to make their visitors go and take down the links for them =S which I haven’t done at all hahaha! they should just remain shut down imo if they’re just doing it for hits and donations =S

There’s one thing which I think I should add.
I believe that one shouldn’t think the community will suffer without their site. And that is exactly what aja-aja is thinking. In my opinion, the only site that holds that power is d-addicts.
I believe every similar site like us out there will have to admit that 99% of our uploads originated from d-addicts. The same goes to aja-aja.
They shouldn’t be so arrogant to think that the drama community will suffer just because they shut down their site.
Wow… One word: AMAZING. I completely agree. Aja-aja has been leaning towards hypocrisy for a long time and what they’re doing now is pretty ridiculous. Just because you provide help or a free service to people does not give you the right to jerk them around like that. Do people who donate to charity in real life expect complete and total servitude from their beneficiaries? I didn’t think so.

lol wtf. I thought its good for ppl to spread ur links. u can earn money if ppl download from ur links and if ppl visit ur site, u can also earn money from ads right.
Actually,almost every website like jdramazone.com allow members to dl the links,regardless donations were given or not.Most websites tries their best to received donations,however this is the first case of a website take in the donations,but doesn’t willing to give the weblinks.On top want others to removed the links from other websites.Why could they say,”Give the credit to aya-aya.com for providing the weblinks”?The internet is to allow free flow of information and it hard to stopped being downloaded.
icybergie you make a valid point, myself i make software for various tasks and simply post links on a single site, yet i can type into google/yahoo and find it on a bucket load of site, myself im happy people like my work and spreads around its the internet it was created by geeks like myself to share all information, trying to horde stuff is not possible ^^.

I find myself agreeing with you. I create some pretty popular installers and I only ever put them on one single website. I actually expect people to spread them around. As you said, that’s the internet. Aja Aja needs to calm the hell down or keep their mouths shut.
