JDramaZone has been growing rapidly recently, making it well known through word of mouth in the fansubbing world.
As with many sites like us, some people chose to attack us for what we are doing, calling us thieves for stealing their work. But this is what I have to say to them.
Some fansub groups claims that sites like ours steal their work and make money from them when in the first place, the JDramas belongs to neither one of us. They should stop deceiving themselves and learn to see things from our point of view.
Why did I start JDramaZone? I am an avid JDrama fan for over a decade. And I would love to share my interests to many around the world. But sadly, most fansubs are only sharing their work on bittorrent and megaupload. Not everyone are able to have access to these sources and I created JDramaZone to supply the community with alternative links.
They like to claim that we are making money by uploading their work. But in fact, we are losing money every month from doing what we do. Each file hosting account cost approximately $10USD per month and we are having 3. There’s also a RapidLeech server that costs around $20USD a month for rapid uploading to various hosts. That’s $50USD a month excluding our webhosting and domain costs. The donations we are receiving amounts to less than $15USD a month with some months when there’s no donations at all. So tell me, how in the world are we earning anything? As a matter of fact, I believe the fansubbing groups are getting much more donations than us and I am not complaining because they deserves it.
Moreover, even though we did not credit the fansubbers in every posts, we do not remove any existing credits in their subs. We upload episodes as a whole if the hardsubbed version is available and we hardcode softsubs without editing anything.
In my honest opinion, whatever JDramaZone is doing, it’s the same as all the fansubbers and that is to bring JDramas to a widen audience all over the world. The fansubbing groups are working hard to sub the dramas while sites like ours invested monetarily to bring them to even more people. None of us are doing it for fame or wealth, we are doing it for the fans. I strongly believe Fansubbers and Uploaders should work hand in hand for the greater good of the fans.
And to those fans who chose to report our sites and condemn us in the fansubbers’ forums, remember this. Not everyone is as lucky as you. There are many people in this world who are unable to access Megaupload and Bittorrent and their only source for JDramas is on RapidShare. Imagine what you would do if your country decides to block access to both of those, where will you get your JDramas fixes without a site like ours.
Fansub groups subs JDramas for you in English.
JDramaZone brings them to you on your favourite hosting sites.

Good job, I like your work, I like this site so much. Don’t care those fucker complain, they just retarded. lol
Contradicting, hypocrites & selfish, they are. In the first place, they don’t even have the authority/licensed to do subbing and sharing it ” Illegally” on the net.(It’s not like I don’t appreciate all their hardwork, we all really do.)Are they really thinking that the dramas they subbed, will gain profit to the rightful owners/company that are producing them?! Geez, if anyone wanna condemn & report this site, might as well report the fansubbers too. Be realistic about it, seriously! Let’s all just shake each other hands & cheers at the end of the day…

keep up the good job jdramazone!
I really don’t get the argument of fansubbers stealing work or being thieves. In the strictest sense, we are all stealing from whoever owns the copyright. Let’s just all be happy :)
